Starting with various Health Camps like general health check up for Children and Mothers, Eye Camps, Blood donation, Anti Child labour events, Cancer detection camp and observation of special days like National HIV and AIDS day, National Youth Day, International Women's' Day etc the youth club gradually undertook different projects and programme implementing.
Adolescent health is major concern at present age, the important issues of education and appropriate health care in childhood and adolescent. These continue to be issues in the reproductive tract infection, adequate nutrition and care in pregnancy, and the social status of women and concerns about cervical and breast cancer.
The health care facilities in our village are very poor. Knowledge on proper health care services of the community is very low. The nutritional status of mothers & children's are poor and family welfare activities are not run efficiently. It is the imperative to mention here that the IMR & MMR of the community is high. DMS, Howrah started the health regarding program in 2014-15 with a objective to improve the material & child health status through direct service, awareness generation & advocacy with health system. DMS, Howrah is implementing health programme from the villages under the blocks in Howrah. Health programme includes health awareness camp, central clinic, community health worker training & life skill education training of adolescent boys & girls.
Our Organization has arranged health activities like Blood Donation Camp, Eye-Care Camp and Health Check-up Camps for poor villagers every year. To save the people from Japanese Encephalitis Immunization, Hepatitis-B Immunization, TB,Polio and AIDS we have taken some awareness to alert these rural people from these diseases with the help of local administration at various blocks under Howrah District of West Bengal State of India.
